Welcome to the 608th Digital Photography Review newsletter. We've been keeping busy over the past few days finishing up our review of the Fujifilm X70, and adding to our content on the Nikon D5 and Sony a6300. You can find links to all of those piece of content below. We're also finalizing our reviews of the Canon EOS 80D and (gasp) Nikon D810 this week as well, so watch our homepage for updates on both of those cameras! Fujifilm X70 Review The Fujifilm X70 may look like a shrunken X100-series camera with lens specs lifted from a Ricoh GR II, but in practice it handles and shoots very differently than either of those cameras. This is due in no small part to a Fujifilm first: a touchscreen that also happens to tilt. Is the X70 the ultimate coat-pocketable APS-C compact? If you love the blues or want to learn more about the folks living in the small towns that dot the route, then sit down and enjoy our latest field test. Were the results from Nikon's new flagship worth the weight in our bags and on our backs? Click through to see for yourself. Take a look at our gallery of samples from the Nikon D5 Frame by frame: 'live view' continuous shooting with the Sony a6300 One of the features we were excited by when the a6300 was announced was the promise of 'live view' while shooting fast continuous bursts of shots. We've had the chance to use it, and we set up a series of tests to see if the a6300 lives up to Sony's claims. This iteration, announced in February of this year, offers stabilization, 1:1 magnification and focusing as close as 13.9cm/5.5in. With springtime springing in Seattle, we put it through its paces.
